To work out your prices and how much you can earn after being trained to clean oven professionally, think about how long it takes to clean an oven.

If you can keep to these timings you can manage your diary effectively giving you more earning potential.

Keeping to these times encourages discipline that can then be instilled in your staff and the potential earnings of £300+ per day is very much a possibility. As a result of achieving these timings you can manage your day.

Here are the oven cleaning time we keep to

discipline

Single Oven – 1 to 2 hours.I stick to 1.5 hours, no matter how dirty

Double Oven – 1.5 to 2.5 hours. I stick to 2 hours, no matter how dirty 

 

RANGES

Wide Single including hob – 2 to 2.5 hours

Range Oven 2 Door with Hob – 2 to 3 hours

Range Oven Unit 2 Door and Grill with Hob – 2 to 3.5 hours

AGA, STANLEY, RAYBURNS

2 Door Aga / Stanley / Rayburn – 2 to 3 hours

3 Door Aga / Stanley / Rayburn – 2 to 3 hours

4 Door Aga / Stanley / Rayburn – 3 to 4 hours

Be strict with yourself and ensure you stick to your times, this can easily be done by managing your customers’ expectations and let them know what you can achieve in the time.

HOB & EXTRACTOR

Gas Hob Cleaning 4 rings – 30mins

Gas Hob Cleaning 5+ rings – 30mins to 1 hour

Electric Hob – 15 to 30mins

Ceramic Hob – 15 to 30mins

Extractor plus filter – 15 to 30mins

Note: Hobs and Extractors must be booked in with an oven, you don’t want to be traveling 30mins to earn £15, but customers’ will ask for it. Most folks are understanding if you explain it’s just not cost effective once fuel and time have been accounted for, again ensure this is in your terms and conditions and it is clearly visible to your customers. 

OTHER APPLIANCES

Microwave Oven – 30mins to 1 hour

Splash back – 15 to 30mins

BBQ small (round) – 1 to 2 hours

BBQ medium (70 – 110cm) – 1 to 2 hours

BBQ large (over 110cm) – 2 to 3 hours

Other appliances are a bonus to your earning without traveling, the more you can do in one household the more you earn without adding cost of fuel and gas, 100% profit and 100% happy client. 

Offer these extras but never ever hard sell. Just a simple question of would you like me to clean……. Whilst I am here? 1 in 10 will say “oh great, I didn’t know you do….. as well.
